Rejects MCC ("the club", "we") runs this website for its members. We are the data controller for the information described below. You can reach us at greaserrejects@protonmail.com.

• Email address — used only so you can sign in and reset your password, and so an officer can contact you about your membership.
• Road name, display name, chapter, rank and bike — the profile other members see.
• Chat messages and reactions you post in the members area.
• Photos and captions you upload to the bike gallery.
• Events you add to the club or chapter calendar.

We do not collect payment details, location tracking, or anything from visitors who simply browse the public pages.

We hold this information to run the club's private members' area: identifying members, letting officers approve applications, and letting members chat, share photos and organise rides. Our lawful basis is your consent, given when you create an account, and the legitimate interests of the club in running its membership.

• Your road name, rank, chapter and bike are visible to approved members.
• Chapter chat rooms and chapter calendars are visible only to approved members of that chapter. The club-wide room and club-wide calendar are visible to all approved members.
• Club officers can see the approval list, which includes your road name, chapter and rank.
• Your email address is never shown to other members — it is used only for sign-in and password resets.

The site is hosted and its database and file storage provided by our hosting provider, who processes this data on our behalf. We never sell, rent or share your information for advertising, and there are no tracking or marketing cookies on this site.

The only cookie or browser storage we use keeps you signed in. It is strictly necessary for the members area to work, so no consent banner is required. Delete it by signing out or clearing your browser data.

We keep your information for as long as you hold an account. If you delete your account, or an officer removes it, your profile, messages, reactions, photos and events are permanently deleted. Sign-up requests that are declined are deleted by an officer.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, and to receive a copy in a portable format.

• See or correct your details on your profile page in the members area.
• Download a copy using the "Download my data" button on your profile page.
• Delete everything using the "Delete my account" button on your profile page — this is immediate and cannot be undone.
• Or email us at greaserrejects@protonmail.com and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Accounts are password protected and every new member is approved by an officer before they can see anything. Chat and calendar data is locked to your chapter at the database level, not just hidden in the page. Photos are stored privately and shown only to approved members.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page and tell members in the club-wide chat.
